Crew size (from your scan)
Our AI counts the volume of items in your home in cubic feet, then matches you to the right crew — 2 movers for a studio, up to 6+ for a large house. Bigger crew moves faster, so fewer hours on the clock; smaller crew is cheaper per hour but takes longer. We pick the balance that costs you least in total.
Time on the job (from your scanned volume)
Based on the volume our AI measures from your scan, we estimate a time range — something like 5–7 hours. Your coordinator confirms access details (stairs, elevator, parking) before move day, and on move day you pay for the actual time worked, no more.
Hourly rate (crew size + day of week)
One hourly rate covers the entire crew and truck. The rate is set by two things: how many movers you need, and what day you're moving. Weekends and month-end days (busiest for movers) run a bit higher; mid-week is the cheapest window.
Truck fee (one-time)
A single truck fee is added to the total to cover the truck itself. No fuel surcharges, no per-mile fees. What you see is what you get.
Moving 100+ miles? Long-distance moves are priced differently — by shipment volume and distance instead of hours. Your quote shows it the same transparent way: one price, full breakdown.
One rate covers everything the crew does
No line item for “labor”, another for “packing labor”, another for “wrapping”. It’s all one rate.

How drive time is billed in California — and why we don’t add a “travel fee”
California requires movers to bill the drive between your old and new address as double the actual drive time, at your hourly rate. So instead of a made-up “travel fee”, we just show you the drive time on your quote — you’ll always know exactly what to expect.
Example: if it takes 30 minutes to drive between your two addresses, we bill 1 hour of drive time at your regular hourly rate. That’s it — no separate fee, no markup on top.
Every LA mover has to follow this law. The ones who also charge a “travel fee” on top are double-dipping.
